This song has been a loooooong time coming. The chorus was born in ceremony in Amsterdam 2004. In 2005 the tune and the lyrics for the verses was birthed into existence in Byron Bay, Australia with the help of the magical songwriter Amir Paiss. It then took me a further 14 years to fully embody the words in a way that I could share the song, and I learned to play it on my ukulele and shared it in singing circles and sometimes concerts. It wasn't until summer 2020 that I finally got into the studio to record it. I first had my old childhood friend and guitarist extraordinaire, Morten Woods, record the guitar track. Then we sent that off to another dear friend, Martin Brunsden, on a mountain top in Ireland. He recorded the magnificent double bass (affectionately know as, Bertha). Guide vocals, guitar and bass track was now sent to, Martyn Philips, also a great friend and amazing producer in England. Martyn added everything else, I wonder if there is any instrument that he doesn't play... I was sent the whole arrangement to sing on. And after that the mixing process began. Sending files back and forth between England and Denmark. Yes, it would have been a lot easier to actually be in the same studio. But some restrictions on travel, made that impossible. The next adventure was shooting this video. Which was SO much fun. Working with Jo Jo of https://www.joeight.com/ was a total treat, I love this guy so much. Thank you for having such a great vision for this song and shaping it into this video. I hope you enjoy watching and listening as much as I have enjoyed the long process of creating this. Please feel free to share the video far and wide.
